Holiday decor at Commerce Casino!
Our biggest job so far and we knocked it out of the park! If I do say so myself I was impressed by how great it all came together and it would have never been possible without my great staff of holiday helpers. They call Commerce Casino the "Friendliest Casino" and they are!!!!!!!! It was an absolute pleasure working there and we are looking forward to 2009 holiday decorating.

I used a color palette of purples, golds and blue that matched the existing decor of the Casino and it looked Fabulous! I am so proud of my team for creating my vision. I must say I had looked at so much purple, gold and blue that I was getting worried I had made a HUGE mistake, but to my relief it worked.

As a Children's party planner for over 12 years I have seen my fair share of bad characters. Generally a Mom has hired a character and is promised a good one. But you know the drill they show up and are a little overweight, tacky costume and wig slightly askew now what are you going to do?? Because we are in Southern California our expectation of characters is a little more picky, we've been to Disneyland we know what they are supposed to look like. Having worked at Disneyland myself for years in the parades I know and understand the quality of the performers. I have done my best over the years to stay away from characters as best as possible or only to utilize the ones I KNOW are good. That is why I am so excited to finally be able to offer premium characters for your child's next event. Our staffing is limited so it is best to book early, the earlier the better.

Holiday Designer for Commerce Casino
We couldn't be happier and more proud to have been selected by the Commerce Casino home of the World Poker Tour to decorate the casino and hotel this holiday season. It is one of our biggest jobs to date and we are excited and ready. We have been training for this one!! It will take 4 days and a staff of over 20 people to bring my vision to life. I can't wait to share the photos of the finished product with you, but don't expect cookie cutter holiday decor, this one will be bold and in your face. I love it when it's like that.

Split Ends TV Show on Style Network

CHS Creative Productions was hired by 44 Blue Productions to create an Under The Sea Tea Party for the television show Split Ends. With only 5 days notice CHS created a fantastic blue shimmer canopy to go over the table and a designer seaweed entrance curtain as a back drop to the canopy. (This ensemble is now available for rental and the pictures don't do it justice.) From custom designed centerpieces to custom chair sashes CHS created a fantastic "wow" factor to the event that left even the most seasoned camera crew impressed. We all enjoyed the experience so much we are looking forward to our next stint on national television.

CHS was blessed with a fantastic 2007 and 2008 looks to bring even bigger things our way, I am looking forward to the year to come. I have not made any resolutions this year except to use what I know and have to my best advantage. I have bought some great programs and systems that are supposed to make my life even more organized and less stressful over the years but always seem to come back to my tried and true system or making lists. I know I have computer programs that will eliminate the paper trail and keep me even better organized but I guess I am just an old fashioned girl at heart and what if the computer crashes it will all be useless right? Except for the fact that I now have an external back up program so no more excuses I will definitely do my best to be better organized, this coming from someone who basically gets paid to organize everyone else. Having said that I don't have a problem organizing clients my problem is organizing myself and my life and keeping track of all those in my life. AHHHHHHHH!!! But I will do it, yes I will I have no choice. CHS has grown so much in the past year that I have no choice but to be better organized with everything, my phone will organize to my computer and my computer to my phone and all should be fantastic if I can get the pen and paper out of my hands. But, I love scratching things off a list it just makes me feel as if I have accomplished something, hitting the delete button just doesn't get it for me. I think that was another excuse, no more excuses!!

But on to funner things I love the New Year, you get to go office supply shopping, I love office supply shopping and looking at all the stuff that I can use to decorate my desk. New calendar, new folders etc... it all looks so pretty at the beginning of the year, I love it. I got a new pencil/everything holder for my desk and I love it I can put all kinds of pens and markers in it and it has drawers to put smaller stuff in and it spins and it looks so nice. But now I want all new stuff to match my new pencil/everything holder, oh well I'll have to go back to the office supply store, YEAH!
